Future Ranger

We may be in the market for a Ranger in next 6 months or so. With a budget of $3,000, what would be some good years to look at. I pefer to have an automatic transmission. After 20 years I'm tired of a manual . 4 cyl vs 6 cyl pros and cons? I also would pefer a super cab over a regular cab.

Thanks

What are you going to use it for? Is hauling or towing a possibility? What about 4WD?

Probably the early to mid 90's with that budget.

Just an every day driver. Mainly to work and running around town. We're thinking of replacing my '88 F-150 with it. No big hauling or towing. Haven't had FWD fir the past 20 years, so, I don't think it would be necessary, but I would like it.

Might be hard to find a super cab or 4WD in that price range, even perhaps one with an auto. At least in decent shape. Probably looking at one with over 100,000 miles on it. Nuttin to be afraid of if you know what you are looking for. There is lots of information in the forum on things you'd like to see and not see in whatever prospects you find.
