Just wanted to let everyone know that I DID get my reimbursement check from Ford on the recall sensor. I had replaced mine back around September or October last year out of my pocket. I contacted the Ford hotline 800 number in reference to the recall. They asked me my VIN # then told me to take it to a local Ford dealership to make sure the correct one was installed and to be sure to take my receipt from where I had already had it done. I did as the told me to and told the dealership that I had already had it done and paid for it out of my pocket and the service technician told me that they would file the paperwork and then Ford would send me my check in 4-6 weeks. That was on a Friday afternoon. But to my surprize on Monday afternoon when I got home from work and collected my mail from the mailbox a check was in for the total amount of the bill that I had paid to have it done! That's what I call service with a smile! I know Ford like other dealerships might not be perfect, but they earned ALOT of respect from me in reference to this deal! I was thinking it would actually take the 4-6 weeks but it didn't. Hope all the rest of you guy and gals have the same or similiar result!

Good deal Carl. Glad you recieved your money back. I bought one last year for 197.00 but can't find my reciept.

 

I had my refund within 5 days.
