98' ranger 4x4 problems

I've got a 98' Ranger with new hubs and the four wheel drive won't work. the switch is fine have replaced it. i'm thinking it might be the little motor on the front axle but not sure. any help would be great

Im no expert but my buddy had a ranger that wouldnt go into four wheel. he said there was a solenoid on the t-case, he had to do something with that. I'm sorry i cant give you better details. Try postin in the offroad section, those guys should be alot more helpful than me.
