Ranger XLT package question
First off, this is a 79 Ranger XLT, long bed, 351M, 4x4, C6. My first question is what styles of trim do I have? they're original and I ripped a piece off on a bush accidentally deer huntin a couple years ago and I'm lookin to get a new set. Secondly, just out of curiosity, did this truck come stock with a tilt steering wheel or did the PO put it in? Thanks for the help guys

That lower trim is hard to come by and expensive when you find it. Im currently hunting for a piece for my drivers side front fender. Look to spend $400 plus for an entire set of just the lower trim....unless you luck out at a wrecking yard.

Race Track mouldings.
They're original and I ripped a piece (D7TZ-9929038-AA) off on a bush accidentally deer huntin a couple years ago and I'm lookin to get a new set.
Reproduced by Carpenter, be prepared for sticker shock!

Tilt wheel optional.
The Race Track upper fender, door and cab corner mouldings are the same as 1973/76 Ranger XLT (all have black vinyl inserts). But the bed mouldings are not the same.
The end of the Race Track bed mouldings curve downwards to accept the vertical mouldings that tie the upper mouldings to the lower mouldings.
Tilt wheel introduced as an option in 1978 F100/350, Bronco & Econoline. Not available with 3 M/T.
D7TZ-9929038-AA .. Right Lower Race Track Quarter Panel (bedside) Moulding-Use with 8' bed (133" wheelbase) without tool storage compartment.
You can buy this moulding by itself from Carpenter. I have the 2011 bound paper edition of his 1967/79 truck repro parts catalog, the price is: $150.00!
