San Diego was supposed to be a footnote this weekend. Now they are in the Conference Championship game. If, by some miracle, they were to upset the Pats, why do you think it is so unlikely for them to win the Big Game? I think the opposite. If- IF- they upset the Patriots, I think they would be the hands down favorite to win it all.
Truth be told, I really hope they put up a good performance and don't get trounced like they did in week 2. On the upside, they have dramatically improved as a team in the last half of the season. On the downside, nobody has been able to keep a team focused like Bill Belichik. It would have been easy for the Pats to throw away a nothing game at the end of the season, but he is a genius at keeping his guys on track.
That's why they play the games, folks. Nothing is a foregone conclusion, especially this year.
chargers had help from the colts playing pretty crappy, niether team is impressive, bring on the chargers, with or without the starters, it wont matter
and i wouldnt underestimate the g-men against the pack, really aggressive d-line coming from the g-men, the bulk of there pressure against the qb, comes from the d-line, not the linebackers, so the linebackers can fall back against the pass, or play the run......something different than what the pack has been seeing. it should be fun, either team plays outside in the cold anyways

Wow. I could understand a 'sour grapes' attitude from the Colts, but from a Patriots fan? Like I said, I hope they put up a good fight.
San D, wow, I thought they were going to choke as usual.
As usual? In case you hadn't noticed, the Chargers have won 8 in a row (not to mention 2 playoff games).

.
dont take it personal stu,lol..........the sour grapes attitude comes from Lt's comments he made in the beginning of the season about 1 week before the chargers pats game.......and this was right after spy gate happened....
"i thought there was something suspicious about last years playoff game about the patriots, (remember when the pats rolled into san diego and folded them in half), we can beat them 9 out of 10 times"......well 7 days later, they got folded again......and to tell ya the truth, its going to happen again, if your guys are healthy or not, problem is if there not healthy, well have to listen to LT justfy as to why they would have won
when things go bad for that team, its either rivers or Lt making comments..... never taking responsibility as a team for why they lose.

Stu...this is not the official Patriots take on the upcoming game!!! As always they will show the utmost respect for the Chargers!!! The Chargers have earned everything they have gotten this year...after a horrific start when everyone was calling for Turners' head...they turned it around and had a very good season. That being said, I really don't see how they can hang with the Patriots...New England is just too deep and well coached to let that happen. A very good team...the Jags...played just about the perfect game against the Patriots...and still lost by 11!!! The last three games of the season the Eagles...Jets...and Giants played in what was potentially THEIR Super Bowl against the Pats...and lost. The Giants may have another chance...if they can get by the Packers in the playoffs.
Love the Patriots...or hate them for being so good...you still have to give them props for everything they've accomplished in the last 8 or so years!!! I think their feats are more impressive than the Packers of the 60s...the Steelers of the 70s or the 49ers of the 80s.

Not all of them...Moss and Stallworth can opt out after this season...Samuels is almost certainly gone...he's looking for monster money...7.5 million isn't enough...and the Pats agreed to not franchise him next year. Seau is probably gone...Bruschi may hang them up. Lot's of uncertainty...but...that's normal year to year.

moss will finish his career as a pat, thats for sure.......but it cant be worse than when we won the last superbowl 2 years ago, then we lost...branch,givens,viniateri,off coordinator, def coordinator...and a few other players as well....what did we do the following year..afc championship game
For now anyways. I didn't believe in his crocodile tears thru his sunglasses. We'll see about the offseason. I bet McNabb doesn't believe it.
best thing i heard in a while.............mike and mike in the morning on espn......when they played the interview with him crying defending romo,,,,greenie said, somewhere right now garcia and mcnabb just had a stroke...i laughed like hell
All that talent and the man needs an emotional diaper. He seems to be rather unstable to me. I think the only reason he didn't rip Romo is because he has nowhere left to go and remain with a contender if he burns down that bridge
