Questionable things

I'm waiting to get my tax returns so i'll have some money to spend on my truck.

The catalytic is still the original one, doesnt seem to give me trouble, i still pass emissions and things. Im debating getting a magnaflow highflow cat, i can get one for 200 installed.

My shocks are also stock (original) in the front, they dont bounce excessivly but when should you replace things like these. I know the "if it aint broke dont fix it" but im trying to prevent issues in the future. One leaf already broke so im questioning the shocks (i have the quad shock set up)

Think i should do it or no?

If you have the cash, I'd convert to your hubs automatic ones. Can't beat not having to get out of the truck for that (kidding )

for my money, i think i'd go shocks, but my truck also drives like someone replaced my shocks with asphalt

Other than supporting truck to remove tire . the shocks can be remove with out much movement of suspension . Unbolt bottom and cut upper shock cover off top . Hook on vise grip and try to turn top nuts off. Good luck

Geez $200 for one cat? I got 2 Magnaflow cats, 1 on craigslist for $40 and 1 on ebay for $50. Then had those installed had my entire exhaust redone for $300. Didn't notice any gains with the new cats but my truck does seem to be considerably louder... Not sure if that's the product of the cats or the exhaust work to be honest... If your cats are still functioning properly then I'd leave well enough alone and go for some new shocks

I still had the old stock shocks on my truck and there was a nut just under the top mount to hold the shock steady while ratcheting off the top nut. I didnt bother with removing the tires on the front because the bronco sat high enough to crawl under it to do that work. The back axle though I had to have more room just because of the frame and back-end made it feel a little clausterphobic.
