Tailgate
I need a new tailgate, there is one for sale for
$375 I have a 2000 superduty the new tailgate is for a 2008 superduty, here is my question, is the 2000 bed the same as a 2008?

it will fit, great price! needs new hinges though...and will stick out about an 1/8th of an inch from the taillights. but thats a steal buy it don't like it sell it and get the older style, I got my 08 tailgate for 700! and its not the right color! I did get it when the 08's first came out though and first heard you could swap them!

it will fit with hinge mods, but you mentioned you would "order" it. is this a new tailgate. if so, it is not a ford oem tailgate as they come unpainted, and you will notice a definite difference in quality. a take-off (considered used) oem ford tailgate would run anywhere from around $500 to $1000. a new one would be a fair bit more by the time you were done painting it.
