My paint is starting to disappear from the lower door pillar. When I exit my truck I step down from the pillar before my foot hits the ground.Anyone else have this problem? I'm thinking about applying a "Line-X" type of paint to stop the wear.Any opinions?
Looks like we have similar trucks BlueOvalFitter! I don't have the same problem, I just slide off the seat, (so I can crush the cushion, and ruin it), but I do have a few small scratches from stepping on the lower piller. I was looking for a power window and door lock kit, and found this. Maybe something you'd be interested in? Someone else had also posted about using tape on that area, and I have seen sill-plates listed for the F250 and F350s, but this is the first I've seen for the F150, so far.... You can't recommend a good power window kit, or power door lock conversion, can you? http://www.autotrucktoys.com/ford_truck/Sherwood-Ford-F-150-Series-Stainless-Steel-Door-Sill-Plates-04-07-P14495C4435.aspx

Strange, but when I tried that before, it came back not available for 2007 F150. However, when I tried it for an 06 F150, it came back available. Looks like a winner. I think I want some too!........
Just ordered a new set of the AVS stepshields from Advance Auto yesterday. Cost with tax was $30.25. These will be my third set of these, they fit like a glove. And as you found out, order by using 2006 year or perhaps 2997. Their all the same thru 2008. Guess they just haaven't got their computer list up to date yet. Had to do the same for a set of Akebobo brake pads I ordered.
