460 propane injection

does anyody know where to get a good propane injection system for a 460?? i would prefer to make the motor a bi-fuel motor so i can still use gasoline if i ran out of propane....i know that setup is available on CNG vehicles, but i dont know about propane...

are you looking for INJECTION or a conversion? I built my own injection system for propane, no one else makes injection, I have lots of parts for a conversion

on a 460 it will be tough to run dual fuel, the hats that feed propane into the gas carb don't flow enough air and choke the engine, if you're set on running both you could use injection for propane and leave the gas carb alone, on my injection system it is totally vacuum/boost regulated, the injectors respond to manifold pressure and allow full tank pressure to force feed the engine liquid propane, hp and torque is higher than with gasoline due to the cooling effect of the -44 liquid evaporating, similar to how nitrous works, if propane vapour is fed to the engine power will drop below the gasoline level, it took alot of time to figure this system out, but the benefits are worth it, a buddy of mine has a 460 powered f-350 4x4 that is mildly built and on a recent offroad adventure he spent 4x the amount of money I did on fuel, the price of propane is cheaper than gas so that helped but he had to deal with a stumbling stalling engine when we got into off camber terrain, he wasn't impressed that it cost him more to run his truck when I have lower gears, 5.86vs4.88 and a bigger by 68 cubes engine, needless to say I am now building an engine for him that is propane specific, he isn't running a turbo on his so compression will be 14:1, i'll do some thinking about how I can make a dual fuel system work well for you
