Good Dealer in DFW?

I just moved to Mansfield TX, just south of the DFW metroplex. I live in an apartment so I can't really change my oil on my own. Does anybody know of a good dealership near this area that I can take my truck to have the oil changed? One that really cares about their customers and will do the job right? Also, I have a Fumoto Valve on my truck....do they know how to deal with these, or is it going to be a problem?

Thanks guys!

Have you posted this over in the Texas forum. Just a thought. Might be able to help you a bunch there. Good Luck

I posted in the TX forum, but no replies. Nobody knows of any good dealers in the south DFW area?

While on a X-country trip this summer, I had a turbo problem and these people took me in, made me feel like I was a lifelong customer and did suburb work. Texan Ford in Arlington. Ph 817-467-3673. Tell 'em I sure appreciated their service!!

BPofMD...thanks for the reply. I have been to Texan Ford (closest dealer to where I live), and I wasn't real impressed. I couldn't understand a word that the guy who worked on my wife's Mustang said (luckily it was an easy fix and I could see what he was doing), and the service manager couldn't keep track of whose vehicle was whose (there was only 2 other people in the waiting room with us). The techs came in and did more talking with the manager about anything non-related to the repair than actual work. Of course, this was not on the "trucks" side...maybe I will give them another shot.

Nichols Ford at Campus Dr and I20/Loop 820 (just north of you) has a good diesel shop.

I saw your post down in the Texas forum but I've been having some connection issues. Nichols Ford is a pretty good fleet dealer with diesel mechanics, but they still charge dealer rates. If you want a dealer to do it, the you can just take 287 up to 20 to get to Nichols. If it's just an oil change, maybe look for a locally owned shop that will let you watch their work. It should save you some money and you'll know it was done right.

Thanks guys, I will give Nichols a try. I have a Fumoto Valve on my truck. Will there be a problem with that? Or have they seen one before? Thanks again!

I would give a +1 for Nichols Ford also. Nichols is great for Ford Diesels, and then Longhorn Dodge around the corner on 35 is great for Dodge diesels. We are lucky to have two good dealerships for diesels! Ford or otherwise!

I'd like to NOT recommend Middlekauff Ford. I've had some relatively bad dealings with them...

However, I have had really good luck at City Garage. They are really honest and have always been pleasant and fair.

I'm also subscribing to this thread so I can see other dealer options in the area

Middlekauff is kind of the opposite side of the world from Mansfield. If it's for your Excursion and your having good luck with City Garage I'd stay with them. They will do at least as good a job for a lot less money.

Diesel mechanics are much harder to come by. Your V-10 speaks a language most mechanics understand. Our powerstrokes are a little differetn.

Ahh, gotcha thanks for the info. I was under the impression that most mechanics also understood diesels, but I guess im in error. THanks, now I know better
