1978 bronco with 460
Lately i've been having carbon build up on my spark plugs. I running a heat range 4 in it and it runs fine when i first put them in. About a week later it misses and at a loss for power. Can anyone help. I'm sick of changing plugs every week.

Carbon build-up in the plugs can indicate that the engine is running too rich. That could result from a dirty air cleaner, oversized carb jets (that was the problem when my truck ran too rich), or a malfunctioning choke. These are a few simple things which might be worth checking out. But have you had this problem since you got the truck? Is it something that happened out of the blue?
