If he is getting 1100* on his gauge, he is probably in the neighborhood of 1400* ... which might damage pistons and turbo.. since he is post turbo with his sensor.. right?
You're right Clint, I did not make that very clear, If your pyro is pre turbo then those are about the readings you would see. POST turbo would be less, unless the banks guage has been recalibrated.
If it were me, I would slap a band clamp over that hole in the downpipe and drill and tap the manifold.
well when i bought the truck it had a program on it not sure whats it is but i think it an economy program like 80 horses. at 75 mph me egts are about 6&7 hundred depending on if im going up hill or down
