Hey guys-

I came across this small scale casting of a 289 block a few years ago. Anyone know what it was originally for?

The lifter valley has "DEARBORN OCT 65" cast into it.

 

There is another thread about this from about 2-3 years ago.

weight ?

Perhaps a paperweight for the first year of the 289 in something ?

 

I know. I was trying to get some fresh eyes on it. The old guy who I got it from said they were given out by Lee Iacocca at a meeting of senior sales guys. I am hoping at some point someone can verify the story.

You are going to get great gas mileage, but getting on the freeway will be a bitch.

 

Now if you could find a set of heads, manifolds, oil pan, etc. you'd be set!

 

When is ford going to put the 4.4 diesel in the f-150.........and what is the expected economy and power of it......

 

Well, I am a machinist so I suppose I could whip up some long block items. Maybe make an RC car? Buhuahahahaha!

 

.5 cubic inches! .75 horsepower and 0.5 ft/lbs of torque! :P may be good for a hotwheels car
