I picked this one up out of Tx last week. It is a 79 351M with a rebuilt C6 and 61K original miles. It is a 2 owner truck with the original owner being out of Las Cruces New Mexico. It is a very, very solid rust free truck.
Here is how it looked when I got it home.
Here is how it looks now. I buffed it out and got rid of the topper. The push bar that was up front came off to be replaced with the factory bumper guards.
The factory Explorer stripes had 30 years worth of road grime built up that came off with a lot of elbow grease. You can see the cleaned spot below the mirror mount. Check out that factory color combo on the seat. It is in very nice condition with no rips or tears in it.
I have found a set of red XLT door panels for it and am replacing the cracked dash pad with a good one. I also replaced the clear cracked windshield with a factory tinted one.
