Cam question
Ive got a 289 in my 64 Effe and I want to install a bigger cam. Was curious if anyone knew of any problems I would be facing with binding with such a large lift on the cam with stock bottom end. The Cam specs are Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.538 int./0.560 exh. lift
Duration: 276 int./284 exh.

You would likely have clearance to the pistons, but with that large of a cam you are going to lose a lot of low rpm power. It will not run well unless you have higher compression, 4 barrel intake/carb and headers. The valve springs will need replaced with the cam manufacturers suggested springs to run that much lift, other more involved modifications may be necessary also.
