Help ID this part

So when I bought my truck in June, the guy gave me some extra parts. Figured I'd go through them.

I couldn't figure out this guy.

Any guesses?

it's like 3.5" by 1.5" or so.

I thought these trucks all used the 'top mount' battery hold down, with J hooks?

No one specified that it is a 73-79 Ford hold down

As far as I know they all do use the j-hook hold downs. I'm not totally sure what it is from. Someone will know. Use it as a paperweight or something.

Is that may be a hold down tab for the jack handle or lug wrench under the seat

To me it looks like a broken off piece of the jack hold-down.

Can you show me any other angles of that piece ?

Old style Battery hold down plate.

Battery cases come/came with a notch/ridge on both sides.

Bill should have a reference for older trucks

I'm guessing jack wrench holddown from under the seat. I think I had one of these in my truck.
