Fuel gauge and Dash

How does the plastic dash cover come off?

My fuel guage is still acting wierd. One time it shows the correct fuel level and then once in awhile it will show more fuel. Could this be a bad ground or is the sending unit going bad? Any ideas would be apprectiated. Thanks.

I'd put money on the sending unit.

Just pull on it. Don't be afraid to pull very hard, either.

But I'm with Dave on this one. Unless it's the unlikely instance that the one lone wire going to the gauge has come off. The gauge itself has no wear parts.

Check the sending unit.

Thanks for the info. I will check it this weekend if I get a chance. I had it replaced a few years back.
