I am very interested in the new 'renew' process with LineX. Let us all know about it after your get the scoop.
Until, then I do have a couple questions about color LineX...
I live in Morgantown WV (26505) and would like to find an experienced dealer who knows how to work color LineX with Xtra. I am willing to drive several hours for the best job. Prefer a lighter color like Ford White Sand Tri Coat Metallic. May consider the beige or gold.
Also, what about a dealer who works the same and has worked with basic graphics in the bed of the truck? The graphic would probably be 5 letters of text and maybe a profile of a 1-26 sailplane. Again, experience and best end product is job 1.
I live 60 miles south of Pittsburgh PA. How do you know who are the color LineX dealers that has experience and has worked with graphics?
Thanks,
Rick

I'm not familiar with the dealers in your part of the country. To find the dealers near you, go to goline-x.com and use the search function at the top of the page. When you use the search function, you will want dealers that are shown as offering LINE-X Xtra.
For custom graphics I found an untapped source ... Visit your local tattoo parlors ... Most of them are real artists and some are really good with airbrushing and have a good imagination ... Also might be a bit cheaper than a custom paint shop too ...
Stan quoted me $100, but said he normally charges $159. He originally sprayed my Line-X so maybe he gave me a deal. I can tell you after 3 years of the Az and Ca sun the Line-X was very worn looking. Light gray color.
He asked me to being my truck in at 8am yesterday morning. He was a few minutes late getting to the shop. Told me the truck would be done in the afternoon, despite his website saying the entire process takes two hours.
At 12:00pm (4 hours later) I called him because I had a busy work day lined up. Stan said he hadn't started yet!!! I had to canceled my afternoon appointments. He said it will be done @ 5pm. I said fine.
I show up at 4:45pm to pick up my truck.....he still hasn't started. So at this point I am a little upset to say the least. He proceeds to tell me that he had other appointments that were ahead of me. What totally took me of gaurd is his comment, "If you want I you can just take your truck now and go somewhere else. I gave you a killer deal dude." I wanted to choke him. I asked him if he was going to compensate me for an entire days lose of work...NOT.
The entire process took 30 minutes.
With the Xtra sprayed on top, it does look brand new. I just hope it lasts.

BAD NEWS: If the dealer just applied Xtra on top of the existing liner, then that's not the best way to do it. If he did it that way, there is a very good possibility that the Xtra will just flake off. Since it only took 30 minutes, then I'd say he did not do it correctly. The proper way to do it will take about 8 hours (with the current primer we have available).

I just spoke to Debra, the office manager, at Line-X's corporate office. Very nice lady. She is going to help me figure this out. I will post the results next week.

If you will give me your email, I'll tell you what needs to be done.
