I found mine on Craigslist! I agree, they are most bitchin' I actually recently bought a 4x4 just so I could use all four wheels! (shown here on the back of my '86 2wd.
I have a set of these wheels also. They are 16.5 x 8.25. I searched for these wheels for my 78 F250 Crew cab for years before I found a set. I talked with many wheel collectors that said they never made a 16" Aluminum slot for 8 lug vehicles. They said they were all 16.5". I know Mickey Thompsom listed them 4 or 5 years ago in thier catalog but I didn't order them. Then when I tried they said that they had been discontinued. I have never seen a regular 16" 8 lug aluminum slot wheel. Your options for tires in 16.5 are very limited if its a street truck. They make a few off road type tires for the four wheel drive crowd but Firestone is the only name brand tire I could find to put on my 2wd street truck.
I hope American Racing or Ansen sees this post. I wouldn't be hard for them to tool up and make 16" or even 17" wheel for our trucks. Ford, GM and Dodge all use the same 8 on 6.5" pattern so they would fit all the different brands built before 1995 or so. Do any of you guys with F250's have or ever seen a 16" 8 lug aluminum slot ?

Do I understand correctly your wheels are 16" and not 16.5" ? ?
I'm looking for some wheels for my new crewcab and these slotted wheels top the list. I know they are hard to find but if I actually find some, what is the going price for 16.5s 8lug?

Scrap value for an aluminum rim is around $20 each, I would say pay no more than $100 for a set depending on condition.
God I wish I had a dollor for every one of them I mounted. I worked for Goodyear when I was 18 and the guys would bring in the highboys and get the 9.75 x 16.5s mounted with 12.50 x 16.5 (about the biggest tire we had in the day) and they just went well with the trucks. Look at used hipo dealers in your area. I have seen a few sets of them here in denver in great shape go for a 100.00 a set. Only 2 problems with them, Hard to find nice tires in 16.5 (BFG still makes them but you have to ask) and if you get into hard core 4wheeling they dont air down well (very easy to break the bead on a 16.5 rim aired down)
