Some guys broke into my brother's truck taking the stereo and garage door opener over Christmas. I don't even want to chance having that happen to my truck. I need to buy a good security system for under $350. Does anybody have a suggestion?
my exploder got broke into this summer, they stole around 1400.00 dollors worth of stuff and i had a alarm!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was even 30 yards away in the hotel room.......all my stuff was hid. and they broke into all fords.. as we were waiting for the police, we noticed something, on a ford when you pull the door handle the dome lights come on.. i know not on topic, but this is a newer ford..but if you have a best buy around, you can get one installed for around 200.00 bucks....that is prob the one i get next......
I Use "Viper". I had my local car sterio place put it in. It comes with a siren that has it's own battery. If they disconnect your battery, it goes off. The thing is awsome!!
During the floods of '96 out here in Oregon, I had rotator cuff sugery. I was laid up on pain pills at about two in the morning. The rain kept coming and it shorted out my battery. Granted, the rain lasted for three days but when the battery quit feeding the "Viper", then the siren went off. I was out there in the rain trying to figure how the barrel key fit in the unit to turn it off.
Well, now I have air horns in my rig so I set the sensitivity up so that if anyone even touches the truck, they get quite the blast. If they do crawl under it to kill the battery power, then the backup siren takes over. Hope this helps.
