Most vehicals that have been bought back have been properly fixed. The way I understand it is tha the tech is given unlimited time to fix the vehical. There is no pressure from the owner wanting it back. But saying that I would have to get one heck of a deal on it. You said 12 month bumper to bumper waranty. Does it still have the 100K engine waranty. If it didn't I would run away.
Welcome to FTE! You may want to drop down to the 6.0 forum to help with your decision. If you get the remainder of the 100K warranty on the engine and 12000
mile bumper to bumper warranty and if the price is reasonable, I would seriously consider it.

If you inspect the Oasis, and the cold stalling problem is truly the only thing that was wrong with it, then I would do this - ask for a week long test drive. Luckily we have cold weather for a good test period. If it still has cold motor issues, then pass.
Having said that, for me it would have to be a hell of a low price to get me to bite.
RUN!!!! Stay away from the buy backs, I got one and it a pain in the a$$ always broken. Unless you have deep pockets it's not worth it.
Ditto ... same opinion here! I unknowingly bought a buyback once, the dealer got around the disclosure buy selling it twice; only the first buyer required disclosure. Anyway, they claimed it was fixed, but the thing had problem after problem. I'd take it to the Dealer to get fixed and they would see the prior buy back status and would totally stand back. No support at all!
I eventually had to hire a lawyer and the truck got bought back again.
This was a Chevy by the way ... my first and last.
pro's-n-con's--pro's-n-con's---if ya really love the truck (aww) ford now offers an extended warranty on top of the 5/100k that comes from the factory--sumpin to consider if they give ya a good price on it----
Id like to thank you all for your advice.after thinkin about it for 48 hrs(didnt want to be an impulse buyer)im glad I decided not to go threw with it.Icontinue to look.ive been lookin since sept. and I gotta admit after hearin all those trbos on the road,im gettin ancious.im in southern cali lookin for a good deal any help??
get them to throw an extended warranty in on the deal, but agree to a purchase price first, then tell them you want the warranty, and negotiate, negotiate. remember they probably want to sell this truck more than you want to buy it! its costing them money!
