78 shift collar
I have a 78 F-250 4x4 that is in need of a new shift collar (i.e. when the shifter comes off in your hand it's hard to put it in park). This looks pretty straight forward pull the wheel and go. Any advise before I start would be helpful. Non tilt colum.

On a non-tilt column is can be R & R'd without removing the column
There is more to it than what you say though.
It not only involves removing all the collar guts but also 3 allen screws from down below where the dash trim covers ...and it is harder to get them back in.
I did it once ..and it took me about 3 hours.
