Common Shorts?
What are some common shorts the '89 300's have? I got a call the other night and was informed that my truck keeps draining the battery down. After I told them it does me alot of good knowing that when im here in korea and cant do crap about it I asked them what is it doing,They told me the battery light is on but the gauge shows charge. Cranked it up and removed the leads off the battery so its charging. Thats it. what can I tell them to try?

Ask them if they smelled anything burning, sometimes the wires get hot and fuse together causing some of the components to stay on and drain the battery. Next, be sure they check the fusible links and if that doesn't work have the battery and alternator tested. good luck and be safe in Korea
