after cleaning out the IAC and TB it runs much better but when i disconnect the IAC it stalls immediately...i havent checked for codes but it doesnt stall when driving anymore and if i still get a continuous memory code 63 TPS V below min and 34 EGR i will remove the TB so i can either adjust the TPS from .6V to 1V or replace since it is impossible to reach the screws since the TB is sideways...then i can thoroughly clean the TB and possibly replace the IAC and install the IAC spacer that apparantly will solve my IAC clogging problems...why does the TB have coolant running through it and is it advantageous to disconnect it?

Have you reset the computer recently?

My 86 didn't come with a tach, but I put one in. I gotta have my tach. I put it in because it sounded like I was turning 2800 RPM going down the highway at 55mph... come to find out, I turn 2200-2300RPM going 55mph. A little better than I thought. ANYWAYS, my truck idles at 900RPM. But, I cleaned my battery terminals, which reset my computer, and now that it's relearning itself (again), I'm idling between 800 and 550.

I'll be glad when it relearns itself and idles at 900RPM again. Feels a lot more peppy revving from 900RPM than it does from 500RPM.

Ok, so my damn idling is still surging. It wasn't doing this before I reset the computer...

Man this sucks. I've had to reset it before and it relearned itself within a few days. Looks like I'm going to relearn it like I did before. I'm going to reset it again and pull hills on the farm in bulldog without touching the gas. That really helped my idle before.
