Ihave a 85 F 150 302 injected and a 87 lin towncar moter 302 injected will it fit in my truck and what do i really have to do to make it happpen with lots of pain and my blood
If will fit. First thing to do is verify they have the same firing order. The HO motors had the 351w firing order. This is not a big deal, but just be aware of it, and don't get the sparkplug wires mixed up. Just make a note of where they go.
You are going to have to take all the stuff off the top of the car engine, and put the truck fuel injection stuff on the car engine. Then all the truck wires, throttle cables, etc. will fit the car engine. Also you will have to swap oil pans. The car pan is probably a double sump which I have heard will fit, but you can't get to the 2nd drain plug when it's in the truck.
If your truck has v-belts, then you have a regular waterpump. If the car had a serpentine belt, and the waterpump pulley ran on the backside of the belt, then that is a reverse rotation pump. Don't get these mixed up. If the car and the truck had the same belt system, then don't worry about it.
