Upgrade to 4X4
Greetings. I am new to this forum and don't know anything about Ford trucks.
My nephew and his grandfather are putting alot of work into his first vegicle, a 1978 or 1979 F150.
I was talking to my nephew and he thought it would be cool to have 4X4.
I know he would need a new axle and Transfer case. What else would it take and how much might it cost to get him to 4X4. any offer of used parts for sale would be apreciated too.

Welcome to FTE.
This topic is popular and will here many answers, but IMO, It would be less cost and work if you find a 4x4 chassis and swap the body. Trying to make a 2wd into a 4x4 can be a nightmare. But, others may tell you different.
