You might want to check the fuel bowl drain valve. It is the yellow handle valve located at the rear left of the fuel filter bowl. This is the housing under the powerstroke cover in the center of the engine. Look around the valve for leaks, and also there is a small tube running down the engine from it. There are o-rings in this valve that tend to go bad after time. If you do a search for fuel leak, you will find tons of topics in this matter. Here is a link on how to fix it.
Hi, I am in the process of changing this valve with a new one , I removed the old one and no orings are on it, just traces of yellow orings ,but there is orings ion the assembly on motor that valve came off of,do these get removed or do I leave them. thanks ,please reply asap.
if you removed the lever assy and no orings are inside of it, than they got stuck inside your fuel bowl, remove them and clean it up with the rag, push new orings in a valve assy and reinstall
