My truck has recently been harder to start when it gets cold out here. Even when its only about 50 out, it still has a rough idle for 20-30 secongs then evens out. when is about 32 out, it normmaly takes a couple of times of cranking for it to fire. This is with out the block heater being plugged in, when plugged in it helps a little. Should it be this hard to start? I don't remember it being like this the past 2 winters i had the truck.
I have a 05 6.0 with SCMT and MBRP turbo back with cat & muffler delete. I also had the heads and head gaskets replaced last Jan, and the EGR cooler before that.
There are so many things that can cause this, HPOP fitting, glow plugs, glow plug controller, low fuel pressure. you have to take it in and have it checked. Is it still under warrantee?
I'm pretty sure it still does it if i put the tuner back to stock. But I'm going to through the cat back on today and put the tuner back to stock as well.
It is still under the extended warranty, but its $100 ded. Just wanted to see if there were any common problems or if it was even just normal.
