Hey All....I do believe this will be my first post on this site...
I have a quick question....I want to inspect and possibly replace my cap & rotor...and my book says to manually turn engine till piston 1 is TDC(top dead center)
Now it's just something that I've never done before so I would like some advice. Book doesn't really say...though it likely does somewhere..I can't find it.
So how do i do this and how will I know when I have reached TDC?
Thanks,
Dave
If your just changing cap & rotor, just change them. You only have to find TDC if you are removing the distributor. Pay close attention to where the plug wires go and put them back in the same place.
Ahh...excellent....thanks for that.
As for the wires...I know the firing order of that engine, so that's not an issue.
But always better to err on the side of caution.
