cooling 7.5 l

I would like to replace my engine driven fan on my 88 f250 7.5L with an electric unit. Is there one availible that will give me enough air flow?

As Nick said, not an aftermarket electric fan. A Taurus 3.8 dual speed will give you about 3600cfm and cools most performance engines but I'd be hesitant to use it on a 460 in a truck as the primary cooling fan. The Lincoln Mk V111 will do it, 5000cfm, but it draws 80amps on start-up, 30-40 amps in normal operation and you might have a fit problem.

I live in the desert and use a seven-blade stock mechanical fan with shroud, two 2400cfm pusher fans in front of the A/C condenser and stacked plate engine/trans oil coolers with a 10" 1400cfm fan. In the summer, in heavy traffic idle, I still have cooling problems with a high performance 460, primarily due to headers. I'm going to an aluminum 3-row 1" tube radiator, but will still use the mechanical fan.
