warning chime

hello. I have a 96 ranger and the warning chime will not go off when i start and drive the truck. I need to know where its located and I will just unplug it. Also the interior light doesnt work, I think the problems could be related. Any help on the chime module would be great, it sounds like its in the middle near the heater controls. I have not tore into it yet. Thanks

maby you should see if the dome light switch in the door is broke. just un hook that 1st . i think the ding ding ding is integrated into the speedo

yes it is, its on teh same fuse anyway. kinda scared me when i drove out of the yard with that fuse out

Door switch probably needs replaced or a good clean/lube job.
