Can some one explain to me what differences there are between the way transmission fit to a big block, as opposed to a small block? the reason i ask is, if i buy a 460, do i need to get a BIG BLOCK transmission, is there such a thing. Does a normal c4 or c6 work on one? Help i a have no clue.

460 transmission match ups?

The 351M/400, 429,460 all share the Big Block Transmission bolt pattern.

That makes the C6's, plentiful in 351m/400 cars & trucks.
