this vehicle uses a cylinder head temp sensor only. the pcm and the instrument cluster share the same sensor located under the intake on the driverside cyl head.
hey, could the thermostat be causing this? even though my truck isnt overheating and the dash guage reads normal.this is the oe thermostat, and since i have 97,000 miles on engine should i start there??
2002 f150 5.4 v8. reading said temp sensor telling engine to cool. which in return ,my truck is sucking fuel. cannot find where temp sensor is ,book said left side of intake. on the 99"s its right next to the thermostat housing. on my truck its not. ive been to auto parts store an they are baffled.
