anyone's FE useing E85?
Put a second gas tank in, even a small one. Put in high-octane gas, even race gas if you have to. Electric fuel pump.
Solenoid valve at the carb to switch between gas or E85.
This way, you could start it on gas, get it warm, and then switch over to E85.
Any valve that would accomplish this has to be mounted as close as possible to the carb, so that not too much E85 winds up going down the cylinders before you get to the real gasoline. Might even switch over BEFORE shutting down the night before.
This way, you can fill the small tank with the highest octane stuff you can find, enough to warmup and idle, but not carry a load.
Another way to achieve the valve at the carb would be a cable-operated manual valve. Using a choke cable, you could run the cable up to the valve near the carb.
Too much screwin' around with flammables on the motor though.
