I would agree it probably had the 250 and they seemed to go like snot too with some decent fuel economy for a larger vehicle.

I couldnt tell ya, I used to drive it really hard then one day it finally died! I only bought the thing for 50 bucks or so.

my cheapest car was 1500... worth about 50 bucks in hindsight. my g-pa was telling me of a 50-something F-100 that he bought in the early 60's for something like 32.00. dare to dream...

Back in 1963 I bought a nice 51 Ford 2 dr sedan for $15 and got it running in a couple of hours.
In 1977 I bought a nice 64 Galaixe 500/352 2 dr hard top for $90 because the owner thought the rear seal was leaking. Instead it was just a bad oil leak at the rear of the intake manifold, an easy fix.

My uncle has a f68 he bought with a falthead that runs well, and is in pretty decent shape, and he paid 15 bucks for it at an auction. I wish!!
