Exclamation (Door)Not well hung...

Went to visit my dad on the coast in Sequim and had a massive gust of wind wrench open my driver door. (Worst damage my trucks' ever seen!) any way, when shut- it rests normal, but the vertical pin holding both halves of the hinge moves. Easy fix with a junk yard part? Or , Dun dun dun- Body shop?
Thanks, George

you need to replace the pin and the bushings.

get the kit from advance auto parts or any other chain.

Thanks for the advice on that I got the pin and bushings-a $6 part-but the pin is being a real pain. I used a Dremmel so I could cut the pin and remove both halves without taking off the hinges. The top half is lose but the bottom is another story. I may have to wait until dayight again to take a closer look at it. Thought it would be easy peasy 30 min tops, but never the case.

I have done this before. It can take a little while, but it shouldn't be extremely difficult. It is easier if you have a helper to hold the door while you are doing this, especially when putting the new pin in.

Thanks Tex. I had visited my cousin the other day he's a mechanic and he told me basically the same thing-use a floor jack which i plan on doing now.
