regular f150 to f150 lightning

hey i have a 94 f150 and i would like to convert the suspension over to the lightning suspension

what was different in the suspension in that year between stock f150's and the lightning?

The front & rear springs had a different spring rating, frames were stiffer, performance shocks, quicker steering(longer pittman arm).
I would use drop I-beams in the front & either a flip kit or a hanger/ shackle kit in the rear. Combine that with some good shocks & you'll have a decent handling truck that looks good doing it.

If your planning on driving the twisties the sway bar is a good thing. I just drag race mine so the swaybar is hanging on the garage wall from my 94 lightning. There are guys out there running in the 10's on stock lightning suspentions
and yes they are lower than the stock F150. Summitt sells a lowering kit that will take your stock F150 to a stock gen1 height. But my advise if you are going to lower it take it lower. I also have a 93 lightning we lowered 3/4" and it looks much nicer, rides worse but looks great.

My 2 cents is sell the f 150 and buy a lightning. I of course am biased. They are way too much fun to drive.

How did you get the image up? I was going to add images of my lowered 93 lightning and my stock height 94.

I didn't know it was already lowered, looks great! Just add some aftermarket sway bars like Addco or Hellwig & call it a day. Did you c-notch the frame in back? How about taking a pic of the rear end to frame clearance, please?
