Auction scouting

Well just been through the upcoming sales for this year. Boy howdy it's gonna be a goodyear 6 sales within a 20 minute drive from the farm in Colonsay and probably 200 auctions posted ALREADY!!! Couple interesting sales including one with 3 laste 40's Ford 1/2tons for parts or restoration. A lot of nice 51/2s coming up.

It is probably too early to make a wish list, but I found a box trailior of a 57-60 styleside that is near my farm.

So far from what I`ve seen it doesn`t all that look promising, at least at Kramer`s Auctions.
It seems all the smaller farms with older vehicles are at thing of the past.....

Don`t forget Ryan`s fleet Sherm.

There is always a few gems that turn up except now people know about them and go out and bid the prices up. Or at least that has been my experience the last few years.

Yeah Ive noticed that too.

My uncle used to buy complete cars and trucks from auction sales for 5 bucks, or ten bucks. Now a days he rarely gets that chance anymore.

you still say rarely, out here i say never, cause any farm that might have old vehicles on it are so rusted away they cant even find where they parked them, and if there happens to be an anitque tractor that is worthwhile it goes for real mega bucks. im jealous of you guys

There is still quite a few tractors at auctions out here. You should come check out an auction sometime, bring a flatbed though!
