Black Cap Question

Black Cap Question

I cleaned my engine yesterday. After I moved the truck there was a black cap with a star type fitting on the bottom side on the ground. The cap is about an inch and a half wide.

Does anybody have a clue as to what this is and where it goes so I can put it back on?

charcoal can vent cap there are to of them passenger side near the radiator close to the frame

That is what I thought it might be since I see 2 open holes on the top of that.

Is there any problem if one of them does not have a cap on it? If so, does anybody have a spare they want to get rid of?
