Long story short, I've got an 05 F250 PSD CC W/lift & 35" tires. My wife was driving last week and after she made a right turn she couldn't turn back to the left. I get there and I can spin the wheel freely w/no resistance, look down on box from above and can see the input shaft spinning, but nothing happening on the pitman arm side; and as I'm spinning the wheel ps fluid begins to overflow. Obviously the ps pump still works, so it's gotta be somehting internal. Just took it to the dealerhip yetserday and said it would be a couple of days (because of the holiday). Oh yeah, best part is I'm 200 miles over my warranty. Anyone else have this problem?
Ford dealer accused me of lying about a simular incident back in 05 with my 05 v10. After 5 stearing boxes ford had to buy the truck back lemon law. I went back to a 2000 7.3 and been happy since. when they went to that new style front end the stearing never felt the same. I like the old style.

Find out from the service manager who the Ford area rep is and plead your case. Sometime they will cover or partially cover repair items that just fall out of a warranty when the mileage over is small like your. Nothing to lose and all to gain if it works.
