Ok so before anyone jumps the gun, let me explain my question. If you owned a house with a large enough driveway / parking area to use a plow or a large snow blower, but didn't really have the need for a big exspensive plow like a fisher or meyers. Would you consider using this plow? Or have you used this plow already and what do you think? Here is the link to the product I am asking about.

I say get a good one that you can move from truck to truck if needed. I went with a Boss 8' Super Duty trip edge, even though my driveway isn't that big. Just one time where we get 18-24" and I save my back and/or knees will make it worth whatever it costs. No more killing myself to clear out the end of the driveway once the town gets around to plowing our street.
Brian at CUES in Franklin, CT. told me that the F-350 could use any plow up to the 10'6" Super Vee with that mount and proper counterweight. The installation kit has everything needed for both straight blade and Vee plow, I would just need the correct control pendant for the Vee plow and I could hook it up and go. When it comes to equipment like this I subscribe to the theory that "If some is good and more is better then too much ought to be just about right..."
I have a Boss v plow on my 250 paid 5300 best money I have spent. You can find used ones on the trading papers. I have seen 8' blades in the 1500 range. Buy a real plow and you will not be sorry.
look for a real plow, with a truck that big you will fold that small thing up into a pretzel in no time. try to find a good dealer that is close. i went with boss because it is the best plow and one with the best dealer network locally.
so I know that getting a real plow would be the best way to go, But the big expense is what I can't afford. I don't want to plow for business, my job and family do not allow that time. I would only use this for my driveway (holds 4 cars across and 2 deep, and my second driveway that is 100' long) and also my parents 80' long driveway. I am starting to like the snow bear plow by comparing price, function and options. I am really appreciating the opinions and suggestions.
I think the snowbear is a much better option than that first one - that looks like junk. The snowbear is basically the same as an atv plow, only larger. Don't like the fact that there are only 3 positions - 6 would be better.
I still agree with others - a real hydraulic plow, even a "cheap" one would be far superior. You'd be surprised how often you'll want to turn that thing and getting out all the time will suck fast.
Didn't see a price on the website so I can't tell if it's any kind of bargain. I'm sure you could find a new 7'6" straight blade plow for around 3k installed if you look. And you could find a used one for the same or less than these.
I think the Snow Bear is a better option than your original choice.
I work for a municipal agency and I would advise you to check out any used plow very carefully before purchase. We try to cycle our trucks every 7-10 years, but the plows remain in the fleet until they are basicaly junk.
The plows are either twisted beyond repair, rusted to the point of having no strength,or they have a broken componet on them that is no longer available before we get rid of them.
They do sell cheap tho...

I have an old F250 with an 7.5' hydraulic Mayar plow. It will push a lot of snow but the 5' plow on the Yamaha Grizzly is a lot more fun and is very maneuverable in tight spaces and around buildings. If you have a 4x4 ATV I would go that route.
If your other driveways are a distance away,,How are you going to travel with that so called plow?? Or what happens when you find a curb ??? LOL or even a small frozen snowbank !! You will have a permanent angled POS ! Thats what will happen, lol
A SuperDuty will fold that POS,,into a pretzel like was said before,,,OR,,I also agree,, buy an ATV with a plow much more fun, if your only doing a small driveway,,and even those with the manual turn/angle will get tiresome after a few storms !
