changed the fuel pump on a 95 f350 this morning got it all loose grabbed ahold of it and pulled up and it left the bottom part of the pump in the block. anyone had this happen? how did you get it out?
I've done one of these pumps on our 96 at work and my buddy did it on his 97. Both times the same piece broke off and we got it with vise grips. It rides on the cam and if you cant get it with vise grips, you can tap the key around to push it up so its easier to grab. glad to hear you got it out with out much trouble.
I broke one off in my truck also. I almost cried, then almost busted out the windshield. I calmed down and cranked the motor over where the valve was in the right place for me to push the loab down. Then grabbed it with needle nose and pulled it right out. Not fun, not fun at all. Now I got the new pump in and put about 300 miles on it and it is going out again. Anyone want a 95 psd?

Where did you get the pump? I'm not sure where you're located, but i got mine at autozone (was from OEM) and the'll replace it if it fails... Was yours an OEM part of something else? Is it leaking and thats why it's going out again? Sorry man
I got it at either autozone or advance, i dont remember but it is under warrenty. Im not for sure if it is the pump or the banjo bolt or one of those 1 inch long fuel lines yet, just noticed it the last time i drove it. Its not a daily driver with fuel prices almost $3.50 a gallon. And its been freezing for the last week so Im not much for fighten with that thing until it warms back up. And if anyone wants it Id take $3800 for it the way it sets just so I dont have to fool with it again. lol
95 f250 xlt 2wheel longbed, auto, 256k, new tranny, alt, waterpump, starter, "fuelpump", hoses, powersteering lines, aftermarket clear headlights. bodys in good shape, no rust, few dings. Interior is a little rough, it also has 256k miles on it. It pulled a trailor all its life until the tranny fell apart about 3000 miles ago shortly followed by the CPS, that is when i got it. oh yea, its in oak ridge, TN
