Boost Problems

Got new gauge installed and thinkin, hopin that its just a bad gadge. only time it reads any pressure is when im on the highway in 4th or 5th gear stomping on the gas. the problem is the gauge needle shakes real bad up to about 10-12 psi. the needle isnt smooth and it shakes bad. when cruising around town im gettin 0 boost. i tapped into the map line and all the connections look real good and no kinks. any help would be appreciated.

I have heard of the "shaking" problem when the line gets pinched or kinked. Check your line.

i think im going to get a brass or aluminum t fit and run a single hose long enough to the gauge. right now i have a plastic t-fit and a 3 foot chunk of different hose connecting to the hose that came with the gauge. im just gonna run a new 500 psi air line with new t-fit and hopefully it may solve the problem.

shouldnt matter, i have a valve stem for mine with a plastic "tee" running 1\4 inch fuel line for my redneck boost gauge and it reads fine. dead on with the ford scan tool.
here is my contraption.
hmm, you cant see the plastic t fitting in the pic, sorry but you can see the extent of the hillbilly engineering though and it does work. you dont have to have the brass fitting and the oil pressure gauge styled plastic line to do it.
