ive been reading alot lately about how people are having a hard time trying to find the 7.3 l engines and if you live around the wisconsin are there is a truck dealership called lenz trucks and they have quite a few 7.3l trucks for sale... if your interested the website is lenzauto.com just tryin to help neone out who is looking for a truck with the 7.3l engine in it
Sheesh i saw an 02 the other month lariat package and everything with low miles i think it was 52k miles or something at a ford dealer here in NC he also had an F-350 duelly with the 7.3 that crazy lariat paint thing that the "special ones" have. it was a 2000 dont know the milage though....they are gone now. As many 7.3 i have seen for sale i didnt know there was a huge demand for them.
When i was looking for a truck, I found that there is a demand for them all over. I dont know how many different ford dealers actually told me to steer clear from the newer diesels, when I told them i was looking at buying used.
If you check out prices, the trucks with the 7.3's usually go for quite abit more money then a newer diesel with similiar mileage.
The 7.3 will never go down in value unless the body rusts off the frame. It's the last of the good engines.
You're spot on, Dan. These are like the last of the good gasoline engines in the late 60s/early 70s before the "pollution police" (and the oil crunch) got a hold of them. I think it's cool to be driving around in the equivalent of the Super Cobra Jet or similar.
I have been looking for a 4x4 CC long bed and they do seem to be scarce
i did find a 01 4x4 dually last week for $16k but really don't want another dually
My 2002 7.3 cc sb 4x4 srw w/110k miles is for sale. Lots of goodies in it. I am in So Cal (san diego) if anybody is interested and wants pics i can send them per request.
