New guy here
Hey all-
Just wanted to take a minute to introduce myself- My name is Andy, and I just inherited a 78 F-100 from my late Grandfather. I haven't actually been back home to pick it up yet, but it is in real good shape with about 60,000 miles on it. It also has brand new brakes and a new carb- I don't even think he put any miles on the new parts other than the 3 block ride to his house from the shop... I also know the previous owner of the truck, who also took good care of it and bought it new. The plan is to keep it as nice as possible while also enjoying it like I know my Grandpa would have.
I have never owned a Ford before, but I can work on just about anything. I am a big Oldsmobile guy, and I am currently lead service tech/service manager at a small engine shop, while attending Iowa State University where I am a business management major. I also have a motorcycle that I have done some pretty extensive work on, so I know my way around a wrench very well. Hopefully I can take to working on Fords like I did Oldsmobiles-
