1981 Ford Durango

I purchased this vehicle about 4 years ago and use it for a daily driver. I have pictures and magazine articles that I am willing to share with other interested parties. Please note this vehicle is NOT for sale.

I wonder if it is a dealer special edition - 81 is way before the Dodge Durango came on the scene.

Did you see the Ford/Chrysler merge thread - Maybe there will be a 2000 something Ford Durango.

81 ford Durango- licensed as 81 Ford Fairmont. much modified. 89mustang 5'0H.O.engine AOD trans' headers dual exhaust, power buckets, power windowsdoorlocks, factory air, pwr. steering, brakes, Mercury wheels, fresh paintand carpeting, colored bed liner. need new trim around bed and over cab.

the ford durango is a fairmont pickup.

think of a fairmont futura ranchero, and you have a ford durango.

they were poor sellers, and are now quite rare.
