My opinion is Ford may be doing all that, but until they take control of how their dealerships treat their customers Ford is going to keep stumbling. My fleet has gone from ALL FORD to only owning one Ford & GMs. I would of bought a used Ford instead of a used Chevy but the Ford dealership has such a bad reputation, & I couldn't even get anyone to talk to me about the truck they had for sale that I ended up with a Chevy.
Until Ford does something to change their dealerships into customer friendly dealerships I won't be running out to BUY FORDS.
One of the things that kept me off the Toyota lot years ago was the rep Toyota dealers had for being first class a h . Meanwhile, I got good service at Ford and LM. I took the car in for service & they'd fix everything without a question, including the tsb and secret stuff. I'm a little skeptical of the local dealers now, but with no plans to buy, it doesn't matter. I found a couple of good independant guys who work Ford/and the others.
Note in the article they talk about Fords turn around in quality saving $1 billion in warranty claims per year. A couple of years of that and your talking real money....
