Sorry about that, I didn't know the M was put in the 77,I am looking at a nice looking 77 f250 in the classifieds, my first truck was a 77 f150 but it had a 302 which was changed to a Windsor I loved that truck,Ialso had a couple 78,s with the 351M and had fairly good luck with them although I know they are famous for bottom end problems

Famous for bottom end problems? Don't recall that, but I DO recall that...
..1975/78 351M/400's are very famous...or in-famous as the case may be....for cracking cylinder heads. (cars had 351M's beginning in 1975, trucks from '77)
Between roughly 1978/84, I prolly passed out over the back parts counter, 200 new heads to replace those crappy originals.
