Has anyone here tried removing any of the emission devices from a 460EFI and still pass the sniffer tests?

These engines seem to have an awful lot of vacuum lines as well.

If you disable the EGR you're likely going to have a problem with pinging and you'll fail the nitrous oxide tests.

If you disable the air pump or catalytic you'll flunk the
carbon monoxide test.

460 emissions Q.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 28-Dec-02 AT 02:18 AM (EST)]Besides one circuit of the air pump system modifying any part of your emmisions system will dramatically increase emmisions.

By the way Parrothead, removing the EGR will increase oxides of nitrogen or NOx, not nitrous oxide or No2. Sorry just thout I be **** for a second.

By the way there is NO part that you can remove from your emmisions system to gain horsepower except for the air pump which will nab you a whole .5-1hp.
