Need everyones help again!
Well the 2000 4.0ohv cracked the head and I really dont want to fix it especially since it has 182000 on the clock and I am looking for something newer. My question is what year did Ford get rid of the sohv motor that had the timing chain cassette issue? I am probably going to look into a 02-03 year model. Are there any "known" issues on these year models I need to look out for?
Do the 02-03 year models still have the 4.0l V6? Is it still a realible engine?
Seems like I have heard about the rear window frame cracking?

I have an '02 (85k on the odo) and would say stay far away. I've dumped over 3k into my wife's Explorer this year (ac, rear springs, front wheel bearings, rotors/pads, e-brake assembly, 4x module, the list goes on)...
